Holidays Are For Catching Up
This is my Christmas Tree. It's a Norfolk Pine, which can, apparently, grow into diversely imposing shapes.
I figure that I'll give my fifteen-incher some time and space to declare its intentions.
Trying to make sense of things. Art, Religion, Books, Politics, And So Forth.

Oh yeah, forgot I have some notes for a poem about this beautiful species - but I'll have to find one within walking distance to stare at. Somehow I doubt google maps provides a nearest-tree function yet.
I bought a "Guide to the Trees of New York City" about six months ago. It's been a very wonderful resource. I'd be surprised if there weren't an equivalent in the Bay Area.
This Norfolk Pine got repotted just this afternoon. I can't wait to see what it turns into.
Thanks for the idea: something like this might help me a lot.
See if you can't find one for the broader Bay Area, though. That one looks fairly SF-centric, and I'd put up the East Bay in a beautiful-tree contest any day of the week. This place, for example, has always a favorite of mine.
